Compartment system must become a way of life

The executive committee of SAPPO’s National Pig Health Committee met recently to discuss ways to make the compartment system more bullet proof. The meeting concluded that the compartment system is now even more important than before if South Africa wants to export pork. The compartment system must however become a lifestyle and producers must sleep, eat and drink biosecurity. Discussions around integration of more biosecurity components into Pork 360 are included.
