Bovine meat imports declined
Bovine meat imports for December 2020 amounts to 324 tons. This represents a drastic decrease of 9% if compared to December 2019, according to Agri Inspec.
The FOB (Free on Board) price for December 2020 was R39.87 p/kg and for December 2019, it was R51.12 p/kg. This represents a decrease of 22% in the price per kilogram. The major imports originated from Australia (75 tons).
Bovine meat imports declined drastically in comparison to 2019.
