The Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries have announced that Gerhard Schutte (CEO of the Red Meat Producers Organization) has been appointed to serve on the National Agricultural Marketing Council (NAMC). The appointment is in terms of Section 44 of the Marketing of Agricultural Products Act, 1996 (Act No 47 of 1996) and his term started on 25 May 2017 for a four year period.
